01 / MODEL S
Model S is a short-range multicopter concept for targeted inspection near selected electrical infrastructure assets. It is intended to complement corridor-level observation with a closer view.
Intended mission profile
Following identification of a location that needs more detail, Model S would independently perform a focused inspection mission and capture observations for a combined report.
Sensing and perception
Planned work includes sensing integration, inspection image quality assessment and computer-vision research. Specific sensors and onboard configurations have not been finalized.
Within the wider architecture
Shared mission software would connect Model S observations with corridor data from Model L. The aircraft are separate platforms; Model S is not carried by Model L.
Concept & development
Model S is in the concept and development stage. The visualization is based on a third-party Innerscene model, not an Aspandair design or a demonstrated aircraft.
